PROVIDENCE GLOBAL ACADEMY GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS 2019 (and beyond)
Graduation from Providence comes from the completion of the requirements listed below. The graduate from Providence receives a diploma signifying completion of a rigorous academic agenda coupled with an integration of a biblical worldview. For students outside the state of Washington, accommodations will be made for the course on PNW History
We offer a variety of Advanced Placement and Concurrent Credit courses. Our students seek rigorous classes because their goals are to be able to be admitted to colleges and universities around the country. Because our students have access to advanced classes, our success rate has on the SAT has been high. The chart below shows the average for all of our students who have applied. Here is a sample of some of our advanced courses: AP English 11, AP Language &Composition, Composition I: Expository Writing, Introduction to Speech, AP United States History, AP US Government, AP World History, General Psychology, AP Biology, Oceanography, AP Calculus AB & BC, Introduction to Philosophy.
It is important to note that our regular courses also require effort and are also very helpful in developing student academic skills. Our families are very encouraged to see the experience their students are getting in our schools. This is true all through our secondary school grades. Some of the testimonies support this. While this is an academic institution, the school knows our goal is to support the development of the whole person.
REQUIRED CREDITS AND AREAS OF STUDY
The chart below indicates the courses and number of credits required for graduation from Providence. A minimum of 60 credits is required. One credit is granted per semester for earning a passing grade in each course.
