Students are required to take World History and Geography their seventh-grade year of Middle School. The following are overarching unites of instruction, followed by the specific objectives used during each unit. Students will study the ancient civilizations of the Fertile Crescent, Greece, Rome, and Egypt. They will be taught an overview of the Middle Ages through the founding of Nations. Students will learn about the countries of Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The main goals, of this history course, are to provide students with historical knowledge as well as historical skills. Students will learn to compare and contrast, analyze multiple perspectives, evaluate primary and secondary sources, and make both connections inside and out of each unit or era.
