Students are required to take Earth Science their eighth-grade year. Earth Science is one of the three main branches of science. The main goals of this course are to provide students with a basic knowledge of Earth and space, the tools that are used to study our universe and the processes that affect life on Earth.

By the end of this course students should have an understanding of earth science and its limits. They should understand how processes on earth and in space affect life on Earth, the instruments used to study the universe and what future goals of study are.
