Sakila Schools

At the core of Providence Global Academy’s mission and vision is the philosophy that each child deserves the opportunity and privilege to quality education. Because of this, we have a desire to expand quality and affordable education to those less privileged, especially in third world countries.  This has led us to partner with Hebron Secondary School and Hebron High School (Sakila Schools).

Sakila Schools are located in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro near the village of Sakila, Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa. Supported by the Sakila Sponsorship Program, a non profit organization based in the United States, Sakila Schools receive monthly aid to provide schooling for children in Tanzania whose only other option would be the tuition-based government schools that most families cannot afford. In government schools, classrooms are often crowded with as many as 120 students per teacher, making it nearly impossible to get a quality education. To date, Sakila Schools have an annual enrollment of over 1100 students, 55 teachers and 35 support staff. We currently have plans to establish a vocational school for those students who choose a trade instead of higher education.
