Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. –Sir Winston Churchill
Reading and writing is the basis of communication and understanding the world God created and from where we came, what we are a part of now, and where we are going. Reading deeply helps us know another human, find ways we connect to him or her, and slowly the words we share together with an author shape and mold us into something new for the world. After all, the Word of Life, our Savior Jesus, rewrites our story into an exciting and eternal adventure.
Currently, Beckie Bishop is focusing with students on deep analytical reading and writing as students participate in author’s stories across American history and the world. As we explore stories, students practice and become better writers in their own right, ready for the next chapter of life as they emerge into the person God is making them to be for His glorious purpose.
